In the Moroccan language, “QOFFAH” means “basket”, yet it embodies much more than just a simple vessel... it’s a symbol of resilience, diligence, and growth. It represents a journey, a fusion of cultures, and a celebration of diversity.
OUR STORY
Little Miss Fabrics As I sit here, surrounded by the vibrant colors and textures that have become the heartbeat of Qoffah, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has led me here.
My name is Meriem, and I am the founder of Qoffah, but more than that, I am a collector of stories, a curator of dreams, and, as my dear Grandma used to call me “Madame Charwite” a.k.a "Little Miss Fabrics."
My love affair with fabrics began in the colorful chaos of Morocco, my homeland, a place where every corner is a feast for the senses.
From the earliest days of my childhood, I was enchanted by the world of textiles.
My collection of fabric snippets grew alongside my dreams, each piece as a promise of the stories I wanted to tell. Grandma was the first to notice my fascination. She dubbed me "Little Miss Fabrics," a nickname that was both a nod to my obsession and a prophecy of the path I would eventually follow. As I grew, so did my interests, expanding from fabrics to the world of accessories. Traveling the world, I saw how fashion can serve as a bridge between cultures, a silent dialogue that speaks volumes. From the bustling spice markets of Marrakech to the serene blues of Chefchaouen, and beyond Morocco's borders to the far corners of the earth, I've been blessed to witness the incredible diversity and unity of human expression through textiles and adornments. Each destination added a new chapter to my story and a new inspiration for Qoffah. Qoffah is more than a brand; it is a tribute to the endless beauty that surrounds us. It's a dream woven from the many fabrics of my childhood collection, now grown into a tapestry of global influences, colors, and stories. My path from "little Miss Fabrics" to the founder of Qoffah has been a journey of passion, learning, and love. I am humbled by the opportunity to share my vision with the world.
